JO NGUYEN-FOGEL
Born in Vietnam as the 7th of 9 children, Ms. Nguyen-Fogel came to the US with her family in 1983. Their journey began in Texas, but through sheer determination her parents were able to open several nail salons around the country, before settling in Dallas to open a restaurant. Unfortunately in 2001, Ms. Nguyen-Fogel lost her father to a heart attack. Eventually, she came to Los Angeles, and after a stint at UCLA, Ms. Nguyen-Fogel was inspired by the renowned book, A Course In Miracles. The book catapulted Ms. Nguyen-Fogel’s desire to give back, and to support endeavors that spread love and light for humanity. She’s donated her services to charities and volunteered at different organizations helping children, the homeless, the poor, the aging, and the ill. It is this long term desire to help, that moved Ms. Nguyen-Fogel to start the Love 2 Yêu Global Youth Initiative with her sister, Ms. Teresa Quynh Nguyen and her cousin, Dr. Keri Nghi Tran (bios below). Ms. Nguyen-Fogel is grateful to be living the life she’s been given, and through Love 2 Yêu wants to help and strengthen youth here in America and abroad, so they become strong leaders in their communities. And like her parents gave to her, Ms. Nguyen-Fogel wants to also ensure youth are able to live a life with love, joy, and empowerment.

DR. KERI TRAN
Dr. Keri Tran’s life is defined by a powerful commitment to creating change. Arriving in the United States at age 12 from Vietnam with limited resources, she quickly turned hardship into resilience, adapting to a new culture, mastering English, and embracing the challenges of her adopted country.
Fueled by a dedication to serving others, Dr. Tran established herself in dentistry not simply to succeed but to set new standards in patient care and accessibility. Through her Washington, D.C.-based practices, she delivered compassionate, high-quality care, expanding access for thousands and setting benchmarks that raised expectations in the field.
But Dr. Tran’s impact reaches well beyond the walls of her practices. Through humanitarian missions in the U.S., Mexico, and Vietnam, she has provided essential dental care in underserved areas, addressing urgent health needs and bringing hope to those without access to basic services. Her influence extends to vulnerable youth through Love 2 Yêu, the nonprofit she co-founded in 2016, dedicated to supporting orphaned and at-risk children. Along with her teammates, Love 2 Yêu has transformed the lives of countless young people, offering resources, mentorship, and opportunities that have empowered them to envision and pursue brighter futures.
As a devoted mother and mentor, Dr. Tran embodies the spirit of possibility and service. She shows emerging professionals that true success is measured by the impact left on others. Her life’s work continues to break barriers, proving that with compassion and vision, lasting, positive change is possible.
